Healing Beyond Trauma Through Christ
Kat has a burden for the brokenhearted, which ultimately led her to Reformation at the Crossroads. She found that a cancer diagnosis in her 30’s taught her that life is precious, and her faith in God sustained her. What happened after that year taught her that there are many other things worse than cancer. In 2013, Kat began working with the homeless. She also became an entrepreneur and author in 2021, supporting those affected by breast cancer. She went on to earn her provisional license in chemical dependency counseling, and then her life coaching certification with emphasis in trauma in 2024.
Kat’s experience with trauma is not through textbook learning, but by her own life story. Through years of debilitating depression and anxiety, she has experienced the physical effects of repeated losses and traumas. She also emerged herself in healing practices and modalities to arrive in a place where she is ready to share with others the knowledge that God has allowed her to learn during that dark time. Kat is married to Dan. Their blended family includes 5 adult children and 11 grandchildren, and their
two dogs, Lily and Plucky. Kat enjoys reading, writing, singing and photography.
