An Eye for Thankfulness

What are you grateful for? I am grateful for our blazing fireplace when it is 45 degrees outside. Gratitude is an attitude that lifts us above our present circumstances. It raises our chins to the Lord saying, “Thank you God for the things and people that You have placed in our lives which are so much more important than these earthly tribulations. Gratitude also helps me to look for the good things in my life. I am keeping my eye out for where He is working, even when I don’t feel like He is working – He is always working if I am looking for Him. Isaiah 40:31 says, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles.” We can mount up above our problems like an eagle and have a bird’s eye view on the way the Lord sees the situation instead of placing our spin on someone’s behavior or an adverse situation that has come on suddenly. So, gratitude is key no matter what your situation is – it is a healthy and lovely proposition for the times we are living in.
