Skills

We will help the women gain skills and confidence through cooking classes, boundary setting, and learning how to easily navigate in a family setting specifically by sharing their quarters with women in similar situations. We have women mentors that will walk them through the rocky paths of relationships with their spouses, significant others, children, and parents.

Their mindset must change from a “me, me, me” mentality to a “we” attitude which elevates God and others. Although, they must first selfishly learn who they are in Christ and that prerequisite comes first. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). He loved His wayward daughters so much that He put them above his only Son and it shows His beloved how much He cherishes them as daughters of the one and only King.

Sometimes it will be necessary to allow someone else to raise their children for a short-term solution which may bring long-term relationships with their loved ones. It may be necessary to separate them from their families, so they learn new behaviors, and let go of the old dysfunctional actions, that are required to be a good daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, or granddaughter. “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed. But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins. And no one after drinking old wine desires new, for he says, ‘The old is good’” (Luke 5:37).
