What does the word “restoration” really mean? Dictionary.com says, “a return of something to a former, original, normal, or unimpaired condition . . . restitution of something taken away or lost . . . a putting back into a former position, dignity, etc.” How do we apply this to at-risk women? We want to give at-risk women a normal life and give them back the dignity they may have lost or was taken away through rape, drugs, alcohol, human trafficking, incest, etc. They are vulnerable, and if they are willing to change, they deserve a chance to experience an orderly path, and a chance to elevate their character. We want to help women be restored, have opportunities, be transformed, and have impact by bringing Heaven on earth. God’s Word says, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt. 6:10 NKJV). We will do this by combining Biblical and scientific principles to equip them to heal their mind, will, and emotions. This will help them to become the women that the scrolls in Heaven say that they are.
When these women’s mind, will, and emotions are healed, there is a harvest of promises that say these women will have victory or opportunity. One of the promises in The Passion Translation puts it like this: “God, your wrap-around presence is my protection and my defense. You bring victory to all who reach out for you,” (Psalm 7:10 TPT). This is what Reformation at the CrossRoads is stewarding to do. The definition for opportunity is “a situation or condition favorable for attainment of a goal . . . a good position, chance, or prospect, as for advancement of success,” (Dict.com). We know God wants women that will follow Him with their whole heart, and this equates to better moms, wives, daughters, and community members. Could you imagine if one of the women, that we helped, became a city council member, teacher, pastor, or even the mayor? The amazing opportunities go on . . . We want to equip these women to take their land and overcome their enemies so they can be educated, and competent to fight in God’s army to bring Heaven on earth in their family, their workplace, and community.
Bringing Heaven on earth will cause transformation in their family, workplace, and community which starts as we help these beautiful women who are created in the image of God. The word “transform” means “to change in condition, nature, or character; convert,” (Dict.com). This manifests by teaching them how to hear God for themselves; change the way there are currently thinking by having the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16) and changing their neuro-pathways; to disciple other women and their own families; to steward their money well so they can further the Kingdom; and to be ministers in the marketplace in their communities.
Helping the women through restoration, opportunity, and transformation will bring more of a normal life for them and others. It will give them back their dignity and the character that God ordained for them, which will have an impact on their families, workplaces, and communities. God’s Word says, “For when they observe your pure, godly life before God, it will impact them deeply,” (1 Peter 3:2 TPT). The word “impact” means “influence; effect,” (Dict.com). The ripple effect that will happen by helping these at-risk women will be monumental. These women can go places that we, at Reformation at the CrossRoads or you, perhaps, may never be able to tread. Just imagine our families, workplaces, communities being elevated and being transformed, restored, and being marketplaces of opportunities; all because an organization did what the Lord asked them to do. What is the Lord asking you to do?
