Resident Admission Criteria

A potential Resident must be the following:

• At least 19 years of age, single, widowed, or divorced, not pregnant and without children under their direct care.

• Be referred to Reformation at the CrossRoads, Inc. (RaCR).

• A United States Citizen able to read, write, and speak English (we are unable to accommodate Spanish speaking applicants at this time).

• RaCR is an evangelical, Christian program. Students must desire to attend the program and have personally submitted their application, be interviewed and be willing to participate in the spiritual program.

• A believer willing to adhere to the ministry values, vision, and guidelines of (RaCR).

• At least 2 months from their release date, having served their whole sentence without additional charges that eventually could lead to more time.

• Disclose ALL charges and include explanations and must not have been convicted of any sexual charges.

• Not have serious behavior problems, such as extreme aggression, violent behavior, or sexual deviancy.

• Not be diagnosed as psychotic or as having other MAJOR mental health illnesses. No person requiring psychotropic medications shall be admitted.

• Drug-free for one year (including alcohol) before being admitted to the ministry and agree to submit to random drug tests.

• Must consent to release of medical records, prison files, and case management records.

• Willing to volunteer as directed by their supervisor (Executive Director, Medical Advisor, House Manager).

• A potential Student will be assisted with chaperoned travel by car in their travel to Nebraska. If the Student decides to leave the program before their contractual commitment is fulfilled, then their travel expenses to leave will be their sole responsibility.
