Steve Eppenbaugh is a youth pastor and social worker that grew up in the streets of North Omaha. Early exposure to drugs, gang violence, and the cycle of poverty led to a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Bellevue University. Steve has been working with families in the North Omaha community for nearly 20 years by volunteering with organizations like Omaha Public Schools, Youth Emergency Services, Scouts BSA, Habitat for Humanity, the YMCA, and many others.

Steve is the Area Director of Campus Life for the Burke High School community, which includes the high school and its two middle schools. Steve has worked for Child Protective Services as an investigator on the multi-agency Child Advocacy Center team with Project Harmony, the Omaha Police Department, and DHHS. Steve has also managed a team of social workers and has worked as a lifeskills coach for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Steve’s personal mission is to use his uniquely urban story to relate to the families of the inner-city and introduce them to the unconditional love, restorative healing, and transformational power of Jesus Christ. Steve is married and lives with his wife and 5 children in northwest Omaha. In his free time, Steve cheers for the Huskers, coaches youth sports, loves exercise and making art, and plays on his church softball team.
