Have you contemplated how the LORD has blessed you over the last interesting year? I understand most of us want to cleanse 2020 out of our memory for good. As I sat here, 1:10 PM flipped over to 1:11 PM on my phone screen and it reminded me of the passage in Deuteronomy 1:11. “And may the LORD, the God of your ancestors, multiply you a thousand times more and bless you as he promised!”
I look back and I am so grateful for our officers, board members, counselors, and teachers. I also appreciate that we have a family house for the at-risk women. God, through our donors and prayer generals, has kept Reformation at the CrossRoads blessed a thousand times over.
If you are reading this, you made it out of 2020 alive and appreciation is a feeling that is appropriate. There are many who did not survive 2020. For those that went home, we can welcome the fact that they were in our lives. I am grateful for all the women that I had the privilege to spend time with at York Prison and Douglas County Correctional Center. The JPAY system for the prisons and jails is a wonderful way to keep in contact with these women that are being rehabilitated. We have been able to provide a place to live for a woman, her adult daughter, and her dog while going through a difficult time.
I’ve had a thousand-fold more time to spend with the Lord, because I didn’t have to drive to a meeting or take a shower, for that matter, and I could stay in my pajamas. Many have told me that their relationship with the Lord has increased superabundantly. Journaling and writing blogs flow from my fingertips with ease, and my prophetic gifts have also increased. What blessings from God have you discovered that Satan meant for evil?
We meet this first week of January with the counselors and the second week of this month we will meet with the teachers. I believe we will start to house women the first quarter of this year. We’ve filed three $50,000 grants. One rejected us, the second is taking it to their committee and we will hear from them by June of this year, and the third one we have not heard from. We love you all and so appreciate your coveted prayers and blessed donations.
